AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso insists he's happy with Chelsea target Gonzalo Higuain.

The striker has emerged as the Stamford Bridge club's main transfer target this month as they seek added firepower.

Alvaro Morata is expected to return to La Liga, with Barcelona among his suitors, and Chelsea are determined to replace him.

Higuain is currently on loan at Milan from Serie A leaders Juventus , but Gattuso does not expect his striker to leave.

“Higuain is always smiling and joking with his teammates," he said.

“Probably something changed after the penalty miss and the red card against Juve.

“I want to stress the fact that Gonzalo has never come to me to tell me he wants to leave."
