AC Milan boss Rino Gattuso was pleased with his players for Sunday's win against Bologna.

It came after defeat at home to Benevento.

“The answers were there, it wasn't an easy game," Gattuso told Milan TV.

“Given that we were coming off a week with a little tension and a poor performance against Benevento, in the first half both sides were pretty bland.

“In the final 15 minutes of the first half we did a lot better, then we continued that in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

“We had a lot of chances and didn't take them, the biggest regret was letting Bologna getting back into the game, having missed a lot of chances.

“It's no coincidence that [Giacomo] Bonaventura is out top-scorer. The biggest regret is Suso and [Patrick] Curtone's missed chances, but the important thing is to create chances and understand how we can hurt opponents.

“We're good at scoring from midfield."
