Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will back manager Thomas Tuchel's push to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
BILD says the RB Leipzig star is attracting interest from the Blues, with his £37m release clause unlikely to put them off in the coming months.
To add, Chelsea owner Abramovich is said to be keen to fund the deal, with the club already holding meetings with Upamecano's agency Sport360.
The west London outfit face competition from the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich, however, with a number of other European sides also chasing the Leipzig starlet.
Upamecano, 22, is said to favour a move to the Premier League over a Bundesliga stay.
