Gary Ablett has left his Stockport County manager's post by mutual consent.
The cash-strapped Edgeley Park outfit have been taken over by the 2015 Group consortium as they gear up for life in League Two.
However, Ablett will play no part in the club's new era after presiding over last season's relegation and former boss Jim Gannon is being tipped to return to the club.
A club spokesman told Press Association Sport: "Gary Ablett and his management team have left the club by mutual consent.
"The new board are open-minded about who will come in but no decision has yet been made."
