Barcelona are ready to move for Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe in January.

Barca sports chief Eric Abidal has been won over by the Ivory Coast international, who has kicked off the season in superb form.

Sport says Abidal doesn't want to wait for Pepe and instead plans to move for him in January - and there's a confidence inside La Masia that a deal can be done.

Abidal has personally scouted Pepe several times this term and has also spoken to Lille chief Marc Ingla, a former Barca director, about the winger.

Pepe rejected a €30m move to Lyon last month.
