Aberdeen boss Brown backs Prem target Fraser to sign on

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown believes young gun Ryan Fraser will commit himself to the club.

There has been talk that the Dons teenager could follow fellow youngsters Chris Maguire, Fraser Fyvie and Jack Grimmer out of Pittodrie soon but Brown feels the 18-year old midfielder will stay put for the time being.

"We are confident that Ryan will choose to stay but it's up to him," said Brown of Fraser who has attracted the interest of some Premier League clubs with his 16 appearances in all competitions this season.

Aberdeen have lost some of their promising youngsters in recent years with Maguire heading to Derby County in June 2011 before eventually moving on to Sheffield Wednesday, Fyvie joining Wigan Athletic in July and Grimmer heading to Fulham in January.
