Rolando Aarons is set to re-sign with Newcastle despite interest from major clubs Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Local reports have revealed that Aarons is expected to sign a long-term deal with the Magpies in the next few weeks.

With links to major heavyweight sides, Arsenal, Liverpool and City, the St. James' Park club are said to be keen to seal the deal with the England U20s star to stave off the competition.

Aarons, who is popular among Toon fans, scored a brace in the Magpies' 4-3 pre-season loss to Portland Timbers this week.
