Sunderland striker Danny Graham has revealed that the players want Dick Advocaat to stay on as boss at the Stadium of Light.

The Dutch manager has already been offered a permanent deal by the club and he is expected to provide his reply this week after guiding them to safety.

"A lot of players want him to return," said Graham. "Hopefully that will be the case. We have all thoroughly enjoyed working with him.

"It has been very pleasant over the last seven or eight weeks. If he did come back it would be a massive coup for the lads and the club."

The 29-year old striker started four of the final five matches of Advocaat's interim stint.
