A-League review - Round 16

Melbourne Victory re-asserted their recent dominance on the A-League, going five points clear on top of the table after a 4-0 mauling of Gold Coast United in Round 16.

In other matches, Central Coast and Perth played out a nil-all draw on Friday night, North Queensland jumped off the bottom of the table with a 2-1 win over Adelaide United, the Newcastle Jets returned to form with a 3-1 win in Sydney and Brisbane Roar showed they have some fight in them, defeating Wellington Phoenix 4-1 at home.
