5 Bundesliga Players Your Premier League Club Should Sign this Summer

The summer transfer window officially commenced at the start of this month, despite a multitude of deals being confirmed before then.

Premier League clubs tend to be the heaviest spenders amongst Europe's top five leagues in the transfer market, due in large part to the dream of perpetual progression that nearly every side strives to achieve.

Here at Tribal we take a look at 5 Bundesliga players your club should sign this summer in a bid to add some much-needed quality to their ranks ahead of the upcoming season.

Kerem Demirbay - Hoffenheim

Position: Attacking Midfield

Age: 24

Hoffenheim's 2016/17 Bundesliga campaign was the stuff dreams are made of. They began the season with minimal expectations and ended up securing Champions League qualification in a spirited manner; Germany international Kerem Demirbay was at the forefront of that.

The 24-year-old, whose early years as a footballer had been marred by disciplinary issues, finally made a name for himself with his exploits on the pitch, as his guile, and sensational dribbling made Hoffenheim tick, thus leading them to a top four finish.

He utilised his technical prowess to serve as a fulcrum in Hoffenheim's midfield, constantly linking up with Andrej Kramaric and Sandro Wagner to devastating effect.

Demirbay ended the season with six goals and eight assists in 28 appearances.

A team like Everton could do with his services as Ross Barkley is expected to move this summer.

Charles Aranguiz - Bayer Leverkusen

Position: Central Midfield

Age: 28

Charles Aranguiz is a midfielder who has garnered a reputation for his somewhat eerie composure and ball distribution skills, which are evidenced in his 80% pass completion rate from last term.

Bayer Leverkusen's 2016/17 campaign was full of sporadic wins, whilst poor performances were the norm at the Bay Arena.

Aranguiz, though, somehow always managed to maintain peak performance levels, which earned him a call up to the Chilean National team for the Confederations Cup, where he shone brightly despite his team succumbing to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Germany in the finals.

He's yet to be touted as a possible replacement for Santi Cazorla at Arsenal, but he possesses a similar skillset to the ambidextrous Spaniard; hence, he'd be a good and relatively inexpensive fit for them.

Jonathan Tah - Bayer Leverkusen

Position: Centre-Back

Age: 21

Tah is regarded as one of the best centre-backs in the Bundesliga, and with good reason, seeing as he's an expert at thwarting attacking moves.

Standing tall at 6'3, the 21-year-old is not one to shy away from physical battles on the pitch.

He's also good with the ball at his feet, an essential attribute for modern day centre-backs with more and more teams opting for a fluid style of play.

His technical prowess is further backed up by his speed which allows him to zonal mark more efficiently.

He'd be a perfect fit for Liverpool, who since missing out on Virgil Van Dijk are on the lookout for a quality centre-back.

Leon Goretzka - Schalke

Position: Central Midfield

Age: 22

Germany fielded what many would describe as a 'B team' at the recently concluded Confederations Cup, but they certainly didn't play like a reserve squad considering they won the competition with relative ease, bar a couple of tough games including the final against Chile.

There were quite a number of standout players in Joachim Lowe's side, but Schalke 04 midfielder, Leon Goretzka was particularly eye-catching in the way he bossed the midfield and got forward to attack.

The 22-year-old midfield enforcer scored three goals in four appearances at the Confed Cup, thus cementing his reputation as one of the best midfielders in the game right now.

He's currently heavily linked with Arsenal, but Real Madrid are also rumoured to be keen on acquiring his services.

Naby Keita -RB Leipzig

Position: Central Midfield

Age: 22

Keita proved to be an integral player for RB Leipzig last season. His impressive performances have seen his transfer market value rise tremendously with Leipzig's asking price for the Guinea international set at £70million.

Liverpool are said to be frontrunners for his signature with Manchester City also looking into the possibility of signing him.

Leipzig are unwilling to sell, but should their valuation of Keita be met; they're likely to budge.

Keita's style of play has been likened to N'golo Kante's as he works tirelessly in midfield to recover the ball and keep the game flowing for his side.

He'd be a decent addition to any Premier League side, but at the moment Liverpool appears to be his most likely destination.
