Stockport County's administrators have confirmed the takeover of the cash-strapped League Two club has finally been completed. County had been in administration since April 2009 but their future looks to have been safeguarded after the 2015 Group took the reins.
Administrators Leonard Curtis said in a statement: "We are delighted to announce that the Football League gave final approval for the transfer of the Football League Share to the 2015 Group. Following that approval, the sale was completed thereby securing the future of the club.
"This is clearly excellent news and an outcome that the team at Leonard Curtis have worked hard to secure over many months.
"We would like to extend our thanks to the players, staff, fans and suppliers who have supported the club during a very difficult 13 months and wish the 2015 Group and all those associated with the club every success for the future."
