A grandmother who has supported Manchester City for more than 80 years chose to celebrate her 100th birthday by seeing the Blues take on Wigan on Sunday, reports the Manchester Evening News. Viv Savage said although she had a lovely day she was left 'disappointed' because her team lost their FA Cup quarter final clash 2-1 to the Championship outfit.
City presented her with a bottle of champagne and former players Joe Corrigan and Peter Barnes congratulated her on her milestone birthday.
"The secret [to my long life] is I have been a widow for 42 years," she joked.
