Zilina 0-7 Marseille: French giants demolish Slovak minnows
Olympique Marseille have absolutely smashed MSK Zilina 7-0 in Group F of the Champions League.
The French giants romped home with four goals before the break and then went out and added a further three to consign Zilina to the Group E scrapheap.
Andre-Pierre Gignac kicked off proceedings with a double by the 21st minute before Gabriel Heinze made it 3-0 in the 24th minute.
A fourth was added by Loic Remy ten minutes before the break and when played resumed, Marseille did not let up with Lucho Gonzalez hitting the target before Gignac completed his hat-trick at the 54-minute mark with a header.
The rout was complete just after the hour-mark when Gonzalez grabbed his second.
Marseille joined Spartak Moscow on six points and will now battle it out with the Russians to take second spot after Chelsea cruised through to the second round.
