Zhirkov perfectly content at Chelsea
Chelsea's Yuri Zhirkov has dismissed speculation that he is currently unhappy at Stamford Bridge.
The Russia international admits that any player struggles to cope with a lack of playing time but says he is very optimistic about his future at Chelsea after being more involved recently.
He also says he is in a different situation to compatriot Roman Pavlyuchenko, who has been frozen out at Spurs this season.
"I have just one dream for 2010. To play, play and play. All the talk about a move is only rumours," Zhirkov told Russian newspaper Sport Express.
"When you're not playing, it feels very bad and everything seems strange. So I perfectly understand Roman Pavlyuchenko, who dreams of going on the field.
"But now I'm playing more or less regularly so my mood is very different.
"Be sure to write that, today, Zhirkov is a footballer with Chelsea and hopes to pursue a career at this club."
