Zamparini blasts ex-Palermo sports chief Sabatini

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has blasted former sports director Walter Sabatini.
Zamparini has always been a very hands-on President and will take even more control now that director of sport Sabatini has resigned.
“It is always sad when a relationship breaks down. Sabatini was one of the best directors I had and an honest man. There were a few clashes. The only problem is he’s also very proud and faced with my criticism he opted to resign.
“At the moment we will stay like this. Cagliari President Massimo Cellino hasn’t had a director of sport for three years and I don’t see why I can’t do that too.”
