Wyong Council and Central Coast Mariners team up

Wyong Council have signed a $100,000 sponsorship deal with A-League club Central Coast Mariners.

The partnership will see the Council’s logo appearing on the back of the players shorts and give them prime space at Bluetongue Stadium for Mariners home games.

The Express Advocate reported that the funds involved will go to helping ‘support programs for the development of youth and women’s soccer in the region’.

It will also support the junior membership program which has seen more than 8,000 free Mariners season passes delivered to all Central Coast Football registered juniors.

Wyong Mayor Doug Eaton admitted that the sponsorship deal would greatly benefit the region.

“The Mariners are not only known locally and nationally, but internationally,” he said.

“They are a wonderful advertisement for the region and a great avenue for us in helping to promote Wyong shire to a national and international audience.”
