Wolfsburg’s McLaren back in England frame
Wolfsburg manager Steve McLaren is reportedly back on the FA’s radar to coach the England national team.
The former Three Lions boss has enjoyed success recently, guiding FC Twente to the Dutch title last season, and is now back in the frame when the FA begin their search for Fabio Capello’s successor.
Capello finishes in the role after the European Championships in 2012 and according to the FA’s director of football development, Sir Trevor Brooking, McLaren is definitely in with a chance.
“I am sure is Steve continues to be a success, his name will be in the frame again,” Brooking said.
“If you think he will be a lot more experienced this time around and he has learned his lesson then why not?
“I wouldn’t rule out anyone. Steve has done fantastically well to get a title.”
