Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams insists selling their best youngsters doesn't have to be a priority for the future.
The likes of Steven Nzonzi, Phil Jones and Junior Hoilett are all tipped for big things.
Williams told the Lancashire Telegraph: "You never want to sell your best players.
"Sadly we’ve had to in recent years but still managed not only to stay in the Premier League but do well.
"We’ve been busy on the contract front to secure key youngsters on long playing careers at Ewood.
"If not, then to secure asset values to help keep the club in good financial health."
