West Ham United goalkeeper Robert Green was caught out for Jimmy Bullard's successful spotkick in their 3-3 draw at Hull City.

Green thought Bullard and Bernard Mendy were trying to do a Thierry Henry and Robert Pires with Hull's penalty.

Arsenal's former French pair fluffed a spot-kick against Manchester City in 2005 when Pires tried to pass to his team-mate.

Hammers ace Danny Gabbidon said: "Rob says he wasn't sure who was going to take the penalty.

"It was a good pen from Bullard but Mendy was running behind him. Usually that gets pulled up for encroachment.

"Rob was worried they were going to do a Henry and Pires. I didn't know who would take the kick."
