West Brom coach Kiely wants hungry keeper signing
Dean Kiely has set out the terms for West Bromwich Albion's bid to find new cover for No1 Scott Carson.
The Baggies player-coach has been heavily involved in identifying a potential No2 goalkeeper since last December.
Kiely told the Birmingham Mail: “I knew in December that if we went up to the Premier League then from a long-term position I’m not a long-term answer.
“Scott’s an international keeper, as I am too, Luke (Daniels) is a developing prospect so we need a No2 of a high standard.
“Going into a Premier League season with Scott, AN Another and myself will be a strong department.
“It’s another senior goalkeeper we are looking for.
“I’ve had this conversation with Dan Ashworth - we don’t want people coming into this football club, coming into my department, for an easy ride or for a nice passage through.
“Whoever comes into my department and under my guidance has to be hungry, full of desire, desperate to play for this football club."
