West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto di Matteo has shrugged off Paul Scharner's strop. The Austrian was upset being hooked last week against Bolton Wanderers.

West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto di Matteo has shrugged off Paul Scharner's strop.

The Austrian was upset being hooked last week against Bolton Wanderers.

Di Matteo was not happy with Scharner's reaction to being replaced, although he is not going to make a big deal over the incident.

"The substitution was a tactical decision," said Di Matteo. "It happened last year with other players a few times.

"I don't want players who are happy not to be playing. Players should be respectful towards their team-mates but it's no big deal for me."
