West Brom boss Di Matteo held crunch player talks after Chelsea thrashing
West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto di Matteo held crisis talks with his players earlier this week.
Di Matteo called his players in for a team meeting following Saturday's 6-0 defeat by Chelsea. It was a tough return to the Premier League for the Baggies but the Italian is confident the result is now behind them.
He said: "The weekend was not enjoyable at all. But once I had the meeting, we closed the chapter and now I want to move on and look forward to Sunderland, and to a good game.
"There are 37 games still to go and if we manage to bounce back on Saturday that will be fantastic. What we can do is make sure these mistakes don't repeat themselves.
"But there are two worlds from the top clubs to the bottom clubs in the Premier League. There is nothing we can do about that."
