Wenger coy over new deal for Arsenal veteran Campbell
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger offered no hints yesterday over a new deal for Sol Campbell.
The veteran centre-back is signed to the end of this season and hasn't let anyone down when called upon by Wenger.
The Frenchman said: "It was unexpected that Sol would play so many games but it is also good because it was the right decision to bring him back.
"Sol is a guy who gives everything. Can his body still take two or three games in a week? Who knows.
"But we have a good mixture with him and Silvestre because he is also a player who gives everything, so we can rotate them.
"Sol wants to win and his attitude can spread that through the team and he gives advice."
Asked if Campbell would be around next season, Wenger grinned: "We haven't won anything yet. So let's focus on that. Then we see what we do with the players."
