We have a fight on our hands – Liverpool’s Carragher

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher admits the club has a fight on its hands to get themselves out of the current rut they are experiencing but also suggest that it is not the end of the world.

The Reds have dropped way behind in the Premiership race and also face elimination from the Champions League if results don’t go their way tonight but Carragher says the club has to remain positive and work hard to get themselves of this predicament.

“It might be a grind but you have tough it out, get your head down and fight. That's not just football. It's the same in life, and it's no different for us as footballers,” Carragher said.

"You have to keep going and show character. That experience in 2002 puts things into perspective. Everyone thinks all we have at Liverpool is great times, but there are ups and downs.

"Both Stevie [Gerrard] and I know that. You get through it by facing up to it, by believing you have good players - and for the past four or five years we have shown that.

"We are not a bad team, we're a good team that's just not doing the right things at the moment. At these times you need to show determination and character and it is up to the big players to lead."

Carragher quit loserpool and fight a place at tottenham or man city instead of fighting for nuts at loserfool

I think Carragher should stop talking to the press all the time and get his shit together by doing the talking on the pitch... Im sick of him and Benitez saying where & what they should be doing every 5 minutes... Stop talking and start showing... All I have seen from you's is below par coaching and defending this season!!! ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
