We’re not safe…yet – Perth’s Mitchell
Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell admitted his team was not yet safe in the top six despite moving four points clear of seventh place last night.
The Western Australian outfit completed a remarkable comeback from 2-0 down to record a 3-2 win over Adelaide United in their Round 19 catch-up fixture last night which enabled them to go clear of Central Coast Mariners who are seventh, but Mitchell said there was still work to do to ensure play-off qualification.
“No we're not safe. We've had two tough games, we play Wellington on Friday, it's another road trip for us and Wellington will be sitting there waiting for us," he said.
"But hopefully we'll get that spirit and go into the game with a lot of confidence and take the game. We've got four games left and three at home so we normally travel pretty good at home."
