Villa tells Valencia: I will only leave for Barcelona

David Villa will only consider leaving Valencia this summer for one destination - Barcelona.

Despite rival offers from Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid, Villa has informed Valencia president Manuel Llorente of his decision. There has been no public statements from the club, nor representatives, out of respect to others - which has been on the insistence of Villa.

The striker is settled at the Mestalla and would be happy to stick to the new contract he signed last season. But he also knows Valencia's financial situation and is prepared to be sold - but only to Treble winners Barca, says Sport.

I thought he would only sign for Real?!? Anyways, the only reason Barca should add Villa is if they sell Etoo. Barca should strengthen their defesnse a bit and they'll win again this year.

real madrid have just signed benzema apparently for a fee in the region of 32-35m. don't think they'll want villa for the 40m asking price.

right right, i left out iniesta. i was just focusing on the 4 up front to be honest. and hell, good for barca winning the treble, but don't you find it sad that, you have achieved this great piece of history in spanish futbol but NO ONE is talking about it? all anyone can talk about is how much we at Madrid are signing up players that the top clubs of every country would kill for. it will be a VERY interesting season in la liga :) i can't wait for the clasicos. yeah 6-2 was a humilating humbling, but sometimes ya gotta fall to learn to pick yourself back up, and we are coming back :D
