Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov says Steve Sidwell has no need to apologise after giving away the penalty in Saturday's 1-1 draw.
Villa were leading 1-0 with seven minutes to go at Molineux on Saturday when Sidwell was penalised for a foul on Michael Kightly in the box.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scored from the spot to cancel out Gabriel Agbonlahor's strike four minutes earlier.
Petrov said: "It's no use blaming Steve because, although it was his tackle which brought it about, we as a team let the situation develop.
"He doesn't need to apologise for it. That's the way it goes. You have to live with, and learn from, your mistakes."
