Aston Villa have announced the signing of Dutch youngster Arsenio Halfhuid from Excelsior.

The 17-year-old defender has agreed a three-year deal at Villa Park for an undisclosed fee.

Halfhuid is the cousin of former Chelsea and Southampton defender Ken Monkou.
