Villa ready to cash in on Spurs, Fulham target Reo-Coker

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is ready to sell midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker.

The Daily Star says O’Neill wants to re-strengthen his side but needs to recoup some cash after a £40m summer spree.

Reo-Coker, once tipped for England honours, has had a stop-start career.

He won his place back in the side after a training ground bust-up with O’Neill which had led to him being suspended.

O’Neill insisted he was prepared to forgive and forget but it would seem the midfielder’s chances of sticking around too long are limited.

Tottenham and Fulham are among clubs to be monitoring the situation.

Agree with post below. He showed against Bolton that he's capable of good performances for Villa, but if Villa get a strong attacking midfielder in January which i feel is needed, Rokey-Cokey might find himself less needed in terms of our first XI.

MON should only get rid of Reo Coker if you have a replacement lined up.

He is the only player at Villa who can put his foot in and win the ball, however his distribution is the weakest part of his game.

He made him captain against Bolton, so MON must appreciate that he is a useful player who has never say die attitude running through him

he is rubbush, no1 wants him
