Villa defender Dunne: We can be happy with Tottenham point
Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne says they can be satisfied with their draw against Tottenham.
Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe appeared to be tripped by Villa skipper Stiliyan Petrov but referee Chris Foy waved play on and Martin O'Neill's men gained a point that keeps them "alive" in the hunt for a Champions League place.
"It looked like a penalty but we got the decision," said Dunne. "We were very pleased with the point in the end."
Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel was chiefly responsible for the stalemate, denying Ledley King, Peter Crouch and Tom Huddlestone with his best saves.
"They are a very good team going forward, we saw that from the videos we watched before the game and playing against them down the years," the American said.
"Harry (Redknapp) has got them going, especially at home with their waves of attacks. Maybe they had the better of the chances and will be disappointed but we were strong."
