Veracruz striker Cuauhtemoc Blanco is reportedly set to turn down an offer from MLS club Chicago Fire.

Veracruz striker Cuauhtemoc Blanco is reportedly set to turn down an offer from MLS club Chicago Fire.

According to Mexican daily Record, the37-year old Mexico international will join second division (Liga de Ascenso) club Irapuato FC.

Blanco has rejected a return to the Fire where he spent close to two years and will now drop down a tier after starting 2010 with Veracruz.
