Venables: Pitch best place for Man Utd striker Rooney

Former England boss Terry Venables doesn't expect any press scandal to affect the form of Manchester United star Wayne Rooney tonight.

In his column for The Sun, Venables wrote: "While there may be question marks over the way he handled his responsibilities in his private life, Rooney is a player who realises what his professional responsibilities are.

"With the tornado of revelations and emotions currently enveloping his private life, the football pitch - even for an international of tonight's huge importance - is probably the safest place for him.

"A calm sanctuary where he can forget all his troubles and return to being Wayne Rooney The Footballer. The Wayne Rooney we all know and love.

"For 90 minutes at least."

For god sake... Cmon guys.... I dont think so he slept with any other wives here... Or is that prostitue wife of any journalist or what who is seeking to take revenge...

Now i start to doubt whether its the journalists who is a prostitue or is it the lady???

I actually dont see any difference between both...

Leave Rooney Alone!!!! Let him deal with his wife, not you, u dumb ass journos....

that's what they said about gazza, too.
he is a little boy too big in stature who still dreams of being a boxer, cheats his expecting wife with a prostitute and thinks of life as a one-man-task with him the messiah.
the only thing all these football-morons can think of as a cure is football.
as if his problem was thinking too much.
as if the pitch was a haven for lost souls, where life's problems get solved during ninety minute sessions.
if his wife left him, it would totally wipe him off his feet, so give him real help while it still matters.
