Van Persie concerned about Hiddink’s ‘golden touch’

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie fears that Chelsea’s interim boss Guus Hiddink may rob him and the club of silverware this season.

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie fears that Chelsea’s interim boss Guus Hiddink may rob him and the club of silverware this season.

The Gunners face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final and may also face the Blues in the Champions League final if both clubs get there.

van Persie is concerned about the fact that the Dutch tactician has a knack of winning things and is worried his ‘golden touch’ may force Arsenal to miss out.

"The first thing I thought when he came was 'oh no'," said fellow Dutchman Van Persie.

"Chelsea are still in the FA Cup and Champions League and he will win something.

"He is unbelievable. Everything he does turns to gold. When I saw him two years ago in Holland, because we use the same physio sometimes, I asked to see his hands.

"He said 'yes, why?' I said that everything he puts his hand on turns to gold. He was laughing."
