Van der Vaart thrilled to be back in Real Madrid starting XI

Rafael van der Vaart was delighted with his role in Real Madrid's victory over Real Valladolid.

After appearing to have no future at Real, Van der Vaart has completed a remarkable fight-back in recent weeks filling in for the injured Kaka.

He was at it again yesterday and said: "I'm happy because I played my second complete game of the season. In this team there are many very good players who can play at any time and that is important for the squad to become more competitive.

"Also training is harder and better.

"We scored four goals and we are excited."

Lost of one is gain of another. Van der Vaart is always an impressive young player. Hope is improves as responsibility is bestowed on him.
