Valencia are set to win the race for Feyenoord midfielder Jonathan de Guzman.

Dutch sources say Valencia will secure De Guzman to a pre-contract in January ahead of signing him on a Bosman at the end of this season. The Holland international is inside the final 12 months of his current deal.

De Guzman has already stated a preference for joining Valencia ahead of rival interest from Chelsea and Aston Villa.
