Valencia president Llorente: I would love more than £40M for Villa

Valencia president Manuel Llorente says £40 million won't be enough to land David Villa.

Valencia president Manuel Llorente says £40 million won't be enough to land David Villa.

The Spain striker is a top target for Manchester United and Chelsea ahead of the January market and has declared in the past week that England is an attractive option.

During a lecture this week about the history of the club, Llorente was asked by students if £40 million was a good price for Villa.

"Ideally, I would seek double that," responded Llorente.

"But it will be the market which decides. You can never sell for the price you want, it is up to the buyer to decide that."
