Valencia midfielder Fernandes fails Inter Milan medical

Valencia midfielder Manuel Fernandes has missed out on a move to Inter Milan.

The Portuguese midfielder was all set to join Jose Mourinho and flew in for his medical this weekend.

AS says the Valencia man was found to have an inflammation of the knee ligaments.

That was enough to end the loan move, so Fernandes returns to Spain to see out the rest of the season.
