Uncertainty still surrounding Sydney’s Kisel
The future of Sydney FC midfielder Karol Kisel is still unknown.
The Slovakian is preparing himself with the Sky Blues for Saturday night’s Grand Final against the Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium but it could be his last match for the club as he has yet to agree terms for a new deal.
Sydney coach Vitezslav Lavicka admitted that talks were ongoing with the 33-year old but was unsure of whether or not a deal would be struck.
''I know Karol well from the Czech Republic, from [Slovan] Liberec and Sparta Prague,'' Lavicka said.
''It's hard to say any more at this moment, the negotiations are still going. Of course I would like to keep him but it's difficult to balance the visa players with the salary cap and everything else. But I am not worried … He likes to play big games like this. He did a good job in the last game for Sydney FC and now he is looking forward to the grand final.
“After that, we will see.''
