Two-match ban for Melbourne’s Muscat to stand

Melbourne Victory captain Kevin Muscat will have to serve a two-match ban after the A-League Disciplinary Committee upheld the decision made by the Match Review Panel.
Muscat was given a yellow card in the 1-0 loss to Gold coast United on Friday for a reckless elbow on opposing skipper Jason Culina and earlier in the week was hit with a two-match ban for the indiscretion.
The Victory appealed the suspension but that was yesterday turned down by the Disciplinary Committee, meaning Muscat will miss tomorrow night’s home clash with North Queensland Fury and the final home and away match against Sydney FC.
