Touts make killing on Northern Ireland v Italy qualifier
Online touts are selling tickets for Northern Ireland's Euro 2012 qualifier against Italy next month at more than eight times their face value, reports BBC Sport.
Fans are being asked to play £350 for a ticket normally costing £40 by a Spanish-based website, the Belfast Telegraph reported on Thursday.
Tickets for the 8 October match have yet to go on sale and are not believed to have even been printed yet.
The Irish FA has promised to investigate the issue.
"It came to light when a Northern Ireland supporter telephoned us to complain that tickets were available at these prices," said Belfast Telegraph group sports editor Jim Gracey.
"Very quickly we discovered that tickets are available on a website based in Spain.
"Obviously the people who run these websites have got an agreement in place with someone who is guaranteed a ticket for this match at Windsor Park.
"And it's obviously more than one person because there are a number of tickets for sale at these prices.
"Someone, somewhere has obtained tickets from the Irish FA, for them to sell on for extortionate prices."
Gracey added that the IFA is "appalled and puzzled" by the development and has promised to investigate the issue.
