Tottenham keeper returns from Northampton loan

Swedish keeper Oscar Jansson has returned to Tottenham at the end of his loan spell with League Two outfit Northampton Town, reports BBC Sport.

The 19-year-old made six appearances for the Cobblers, covering for injured first-choice stopper Chris Dunn.

"He did very well for us and helped us out," said Cobblers boss Ian Sampson.

"Chris is now fit again. He's our number one keeper and when he's fit he plays, so Oscar has gone back to Tottenham," Sampson added.

"I'd like to thank Oscar for his hard work and commitment and also thank Harry Redknapp for allowing us to borrow him.

"I hope he benefited from the experience of playing first-team football and from working with [Northampton's goalkeeping coach] Tim Flowers."
