Tottenham keeper Gomes: Defoe return crucial

Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes says Jermain Defoe's return from injury cannot come too soon.

Gomes is delighted that Defoe could be back from his ankle injury soon.

“We miss him a lot because he is a goal- scorer,” said Gomes. “All the time when a player gives him the ball you expect something.

“Of course we miss him, but we have to keep going and other players have to try to score goals for us.”
