Tottenham coach Jordan admits management ambitions

Tottenham assistant boss Joe Jordan admits he still has ambitions to be manager.

Jordan is part of the backroom team at Spurs after following Harry Redknapp from Portsmouth.

“I’m still ambitious and I’m desperate to do well here, along with the other people,” Jordan told the Sunday Herald. “I wouldn’t rule [management] out, but I’m not chasing it. I get on well with the manager here, and we hope that we can achieve something. I won’t go chasing every job that’s going, I know what I am and what I can do, but I’m not going down the route of applying for jobs.”

There is no doubt that Joe is a great motivator but before he tries to manage he must prove his worth by winning things at Spurs.

Some assistants do not make great managers (eg Paul Hart, Brian Kidd) and Joe may fit in to this catagory.

As for Spurs bench - Redknapp, Bond, Jordan, Parkes, Allen, Ferdinand, Sherwood.... how many more does the club need?.

Maybe Joe should wait and just be grateful - he may not be as good as he thinks he is.
