Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has no problem with Robbie Keane leaving for Celtic.

Redknapp says the move will be a dream come true for Keane.

"Robbie will be a GREAT signing for Celtic, I am certain of it," he told the Scottish Sun. "I can fully understand the Celtic fans being excited about the idea of Robbie playing for them.

"He's the perfect player for them, he really is. It's a massive signing for Celtic. I've got so much time for Robbie as a player and a person. Robbie just wants to play all the time. He isn't happy when he's not playing.

"It's as simple as that and I can understand the frustration he's felt at having to be a sub behind Defoe and Crouch. Celtic's probably the only club he would leave Tottenham for.

"I didn't know about their interest until about 5pm when my chairman called me to say Celtic had asked about Robbie. It's all happened so quickly.

"But Robbie's a fantastic player and a great character. He's a great trainer. It's unfortunate, though, for Robbie that I've got a lot of quality strikers. We're very strong in that department.

"I've got Defoe and Crouch who have done well, plus Roman Pavlyuchenko who hasn't moved in the window.

"Now I've also got Eidur Gudjohnsen.

"Robbie's desperate to play every week and I think he's a big Celtic fan. It will be a great deal for them.

"Robbie goes to Celtic with my best wishes."
