Torquay snap up Tottenham youngster Smith on loan

Torquay United have brought in Spurs full-back Adam Smith, BBC Radio Devon reports.

The 18 year old had a spell at Wycombe earlier this season and has been on the Spurs bench in the Uefa Cup.

Torquay boss Paul Buckle said: "We have signed a very good young full-back in Adam Smith from Tottenham.

"Adam can play left or right-back and is what we need to cover for Lee Mansell and Kevin Nicholson."

Smith - who has been on trial at Torquay this week - spent a month-long loan spell at League One side Wycombe at the start of the season and made his Football League.
