Tickets on sale tomorrow for Celtic v Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium
Tickets to see international football super-power, Celtic FC take on Brisbane Roar in the annual ‘Queensland Roars Against Racism’ at Suncorp Stadium in July go on sale tomorrow.
Stadium general manager, Paul Sergeant said today he expected a strong demand for tickets given Celtic’s
standing as one of the most popular and highest profile teams in international football.
“Celtic has about 10 million fans worldwide with a large number in south-east Asia. This is a unique opportunity to see them live in their famous green and white hoops,” he said.
“And Brisbane is the only place Celtic will be playing in this part of the world as part of their pre-season tour. Requests for Celtic to play in New Zealand and Hong Kong have been rejected.”
Celtic has given assurance it will sending a first-class squad down-under for this game.
“We are sure we will make this a trip to remember for both the club and our fans,” a Celtic club spokesman said.
Included in that squad is Socceroos striker, Scott McDonald who again was the club’s leading goal scorer in the just completed Scottish Premier League season.
