Chelsea skipper John Terry headed a late winner at Burnley as the Blues moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League, with a 2-1 win at Turf Moor.

Chelsea had started off well but after Nicolas Anelka had opened the scoring by finishing off a flowing move the visitor's failed to kill off their opponents and almost paid the price with dropped points.

The visitors became complacent and paid the price just after the break when slack defending by Alex allowed Steve Fletcher an unlikely equaliser.

Chelsea still dominated but were unable to carve out clear cut opportunities until six minutes from time.

Revelations over Terry's private life earned him the derision of the home supporters but he had the final say heading home Frank Lampard's corner.
