Sydney not too worried about North Queensland’s Fowler

Sydney FC striker John Aloisi says the club is not focusing on North Queensland Fury star Robbie Fowler ahead of their season opener.

The Sky Blues get the chance to be the first team to try and thwart the former Liverpool striker but Aloisi insists there are more things to worry about that one player.

"We haven't really talked about Robbie playing at all," Aloisi said.

"Even when he's not in the game you can't slacken off, because he's got so much quality that he only needs to touch the ball once and it's in the back of the net.

"[But] we are just concentrating on our game and making sure that we do our things right."

Aloisi added that he was sure Fowler could handle the pressure of being a new club’s marquee player.

"I don't think I need to give Robbie Fowler any advice,” he added.

“He's played at Liverpool, he knows what the pressure is like. I'm sure he can put up with it very well."
