Sydney FC are seeking a new midfield playmaker for next season.
Sky Blues CEO Edwin Lugt said yesterday the coaching staff had identified a top-class attacking midfielder as priority for next season and he would most likely become the marquee man to replace former Socceroo striker John Aloisi.
"Steve (Corica) has performed magnificently this season and has been central in bringing us to where we are now," Lugt told the Daily Telegraph.
"But we are developing a more dominant playing staff to take us to the next level and the No. 10 [playmaker] position is crucial.
"We are looking everywhere for that player and have not excluded any country and, yes, we have started talks."
