Sydney FC set to ring the changes for Perth Glory fixture

Rock-bottom Sydney FC are set to make a number of changes as they chase their first win of the season against Perth Glory on Sunday.

The reigning champions were brushed aside by arch enemies Melbourne Victory 3-0 last weekend and coach Vitezslav Lavicka has admitted that there will be changes when the Glory, who have their own problems with five losses in a row, host them at nib Stadium.

“After the last game in Melbourne, we're going to do some changes," Lavicka said.

"We have a few more options now in this moment.

"I can't say firstly to (the media) what changes; I would like to first tell the players.

"We have a tactics session today, we will discuss it, try some things on the park and make final decisions.

"We would like to change something, not only personnel but maybe we change more.

"We're trying to do anything we can. We all believe that we'll make the first win and we will do good performance over there in Perth."

Lavicka has been boosted by the return of youngsters Rhyan Grant, Kofi Danning, Terry Antonis and Dimitri Petratos who are back from the U19 Asian championships in China where the Young Socceroos were runners-up so it may be youthful enthusiasm that gets his charges back to a winning mentality.
